ABSTRACT

This study will be conducted to determine the Flexibility of banana (Musa) stem Fiber in

making an eco-bag. The body of the banana usually only rots on the side so it is good to

make an eco-bag. This bag helps not only in shopping but also in planting and other

things. It also helps to prevent people from using disposable plastic bags.

The eco bag made of banana stem Fiber not only recycles material, but they also

eliminate the need for single-use plastic bags that have proven to be harmful to the ability

to reduce the amount of smaller and landfill waste. Another environmental benefit is the

reduction of air pollution caused by factories producing paper or plastic bags.

Not only do reusable bags make it easier. to carry thing around, but they also reduce

clutter in your home and in local landfills. Plus, you know your grocery bags aren't going

to bust open when because the bags are too flimsy.

This study will be conducted at the researcher’s residence in San Isidro, Isabela for this

reason the researcher will be conducted this study to investigate the Flexibility of banana

(Musa) stem Fiber in making eco bags, to reduce the problem of plastic.
INTRODUCTION

Background of the Study

Eco bags are a type of shopping bag which can be. reused many times. It is an alternative

to single-use paper or plastic bags it is often a tote bag made from Fabric such as canvas

natural Fibers such as jute, woven synthetic Fiber, or a thick plastic that is more durable

than disposable. plastic bags allowing multiple uses (Debbie Meyer, 2018)

According to Saraexim (2016), Reusable shopping bags are better than plastic or paper

bags. These bags are used to prevent environmental pollution. Materials used to produce

these bags do not harm the quality of our surroundings. These bags are generally made of

materials such as jute, cloth, and recycled plastics These products can be used for various

purposes.

But in this study, we use banana stem because we Found out that banana Fiber is a

natural bast Fiber that has a wide range of uses in handicraft product developments such

as mat, rope, and twine but only 10% of its Organic banana fiber is used to make various

eco-papers like tissue, Filters and currency paper Being natural heat resistant, having the

good spinning ability and high tensile strength, it is used for making yarn Fabrics and

garments it can be blended with other Fiber Eco-Friendly bags are made from banana

Fiber.
Statement of the Problem

1. What is the effect of Banana Stem Fiber in making eco bags on nature and people who

live here?

2. Is Banana (Musa) Stem effective in making eco-bags?

3. Which treatment is the most effective in making eco-bags?

Significance of the Study

The importance of using an eco-bag to solve people's problems with disposable plastic

bags. it helps the student to carry their project to school or school supplies, they can use it

to carry lunch boxes or snacks.

What helps the researchers is that they can put their project here or what they will do to

use in the project, they can put their things such as bond paper, laptops, and notebooks

and it can be used by other researchers and students.

When this study is successful, the use of disposable plastic bags will decrease, and the

plastic waste that we see on the side of the road or in the Parks. It will be reduced and the

environment will not be damaged. We will be able to take care of the sea and trees. In

addition to this, we can prevent animals from dying because of plastic waste.

Scope and Delimitation

In today's generation, humans are starting to make an alternative way of solving plastic.

waste problem Using eco-friendly materials in alternatives to plastic bags like an eco-bag

to help reduce the use of plastic bags.

In this study, we are making an alternative to the plastic bags that are usually used. In this

study. we will see how the researchers will solve the increase. in plastic waste due to the

people who use it. The increase in people who uses plastic bag that damaged the

environment and replace them with usable one that does not harm the environment and

those who live in them.

This study will be conducted with a banana body and a few Financial resources.

The study will not cover the 11 respondents in the community.
