I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standards The learners demonstrate understanding the
nature of learner-centered teaching delivery
modalities of how these can impact their learning
experiences
B. Performance Standards The learners should be able to create an
infographic demonstrating their understanding of
the learner-centered teaching delivery modalities
C. Learning Competencies By the end of the session, the learners should be
able to: explain the four (4) different teaching
delivery modalities: Face-to-Face Learning,
Blended Learning, Technology-based, Online/
eLearning, and Distance Learning
Lesson Objectives Identify the learner-centered teaching
delivery modalities
Adopt the learner centered teaching
modality
Appreciate the importance of knowing the
learner centered teaching modality
II. CONTENT Chapter 4 – LEARNER-CENTERED PEDAGOGY
Topic: Delivery Modalities

IV. PROCEDURES
A. Reviewing previous lesson or presenting 1. What lesson was it that we last talked
the new lesson about last week?
2. What do you think about the word
ELICIT learning different modalities?
B. Establishing a purpose for the lesson Tell the learners the objective of the lesson:
Identify the learner-centered teaching
delivery modalities
Adopt the learner centered teaching
modality
Appreciate the importance of knowing the
learner centered teaching modality
C. Presenting examples/instances of the GROUP ACTIVITY
new lesson Directions: Arrange the letters to form words
connected to our topic of discussion.
ENGAGE
1. EHMO HOOINGLSC
2. CEAF OT FECA ARNNGILE
3. LDNEDBE RNGNILEA
4. LNIEON CITSNEDA NGINAERL
5. ULRAMDO ISTNCEAD GNINAERL
D. Discussing the new concepts and (15 minutes) Group Activity: ROLE PLAY
practicing new skills #1 Each group needs to perform the following
procedures:
1. Divide students into a groups
2. Assign each group a different delivery
modality
3. Intrust each group to think for 15 minutes
to brainstorm how they perform their
assign delivery modality
4. Encourage learners to be creative how will
they perform it
5. Allow time for groups to demonstrate how
each modality works in practice (10
minutes for each group)
E. Discussing the new concepts and - After their role play, each group will
practicing new skills #2 explain of what they did and learned about
the performance and what they prefer?
F. Developing mastery (leads to formative - Discuss what are the delivery modalities?
assessment) EXPLAIN What is distance learning? What are the
two types of distance learning? What is
modular and online distance learning?
What is home schooling? What is blended
learning? What is traditional face-to-face
learning?
G. Finding practical applications to concepts ELABORATE (3 minutes)
and skills in daily living
- Which modalities of learning delivery are
we currently applying?
H. Making generalization and abstraction We have different learning delivery modalities
these are the Distance Learning, Home schooling,
ELABORATE Blended Learning, and Traditional Face-to-Face
Learning
Distance Learning - when teachers and students
communicate virtually through the internet, email,
or mail for class, it's known as distance learning.
Remote learning has a big benefit because of this
asynchronous access, which lets student’s access
information whenever it's convenient for them.
There are TWO types of distance learning
Modular Distance Learning - Self-learning modules
(SLMs) are used in print or digital formats as part
of individualized instruction to support
independent study in addition to other learning
resources. Modules help students develop their
ability to study on their own. They enable them to
actively absorb curriculum principles, take on
more responsibility, progress on their own with
little assistance, gain confidence, and learn how to
study.
Online Distance Learning - Through active
participation in online learning, the instructor
facilitates learning. Through peer-to-peer and
learner-teacher interactions, it makes use of
internet technologies. A dependable internet
connection is necessary for online learning, which
provides synchronous, live instruction. Immediate
responses, resource accessibility, and online
courses are provided.
Home Schooling - With the assistance of capable
parents, guardians, or tutors, the Alternative
Delivery Mode (ADM) provides excellent teaching
in home-based environments. Its effectiveness
remains limited by issues with oversight and
curriculum alignment.
Blended Learning - This describes a method of
delivering learning that blends in-person
instruction with any combination of online,
modular, and TV/radio-based distance learning.
With the use of blended learning, schools will be
able to limit in-person instruction, enforce social
distancing, and reduce the number of people who
are ever outside the home.
Traditional Face-to-Face Learning - In a learning
delivery modality that involves both the teacher
and the students physically present in the
classroom, learners have the opportunity to
actively participate, receive immediate feedback,
and develop their socio-emotional skills.
I. Evaluating learning Directions: Analyze the given statements and write
ODL if the statement is about online distance
EVALUATION learning, MDL if modular distance learning, BL if
blended learning, HS, if home schooling and FTF if
Face-to-face learning. Write your answers to the
space provided.
____1. Self-learning modules (SLMs) are used in
print or digital formats as part of individualized
instruction.
____2. Involves both the teacher and the students
physically present in the classroom.
____3. Using a variety of internet-accessible
technologies, the instructor facilitates students'
active participation.
____4. Enable the schools to manage the number
of people outside the home at any given time,
promote social distancing, and limit in-person
instruction.
____5. Facilitated by trained guardians, parents, or
tutors with the necessary experience.
____6. Refers to an approach to learning that
combines in-person and virtual learning.
____7. Opportunities exist for learners' socio-
emotional development, active participation, and
quick feedback.
____8. Appropriate when used in pairing with
other learning resources such as study guides,
activity sheets, textbooks, and learner's materials.
____9. A dependable internet connection is
necessary which provides synchronous, live
instruction.
____10. Students can access online resources,
download materials, finish and turn in assignments
online, participate in webinars, and take virtual
classes.
J. Additional Activities for application or - The students will write an essay of what
remediation the learners experienced in different
EXTEND learning delivery modalities.
V. REMARKS
VI. REFLECTION

formative assessment
B. No. of learners who require additional
activities for remediation
C. Did the remedial lessons work? No. of
learners who have caught up with the
lesson
D. No. of learners who continue to require
remediation
E. Which of my teaching strategies worked
well? Why did these work?
