Along with theoretical training, it is very important for me to get the practically
training so that I choose The Best Bite to learn different management system. During
my internship I have try my best to learn all that I have to be learnt in cafe.
I am proud of having this opportunity to complete my training in a very reputable and
prominent organization. In the period of six weeks I learnt almost all the management
system that are being offered by this branch. Although. The ‘Best Bite’ is running its
financial matters very well, but there is always a room for further development.

McDonald's Corporation is an American multinational fast food chain, founded in

1.6.2 KFC:
KFC was one of the first fast-food chains to expand internationally, opening outlets in

corporate ownership with little or no experience in the restaurant business. In the early
1970s, KFC was sold to the spirits distributor Heublein, which was taken over by the

owned by Dominick DeVarti, at 507 Cross Street in Ypsilanti, Michigan, near Eastern
Michigan University. The deal was secured by a $500 down payment, then the
brothers borrowed $900 to pay for the store. The brothers planned to split the work
hours evenly, but James did not want to quit his job as a full-time postman to keep up
with the demands of the new business. Within eight months, James traded his half of
the business to Tom for the Volkswagen Beetle they used for pizza deliveries.
By 1965, Tom Monaghan had purchased two additional pizzerias; he now had a total
of three locations in the same county. Monaghan wanted the stores to share the same
branding, but the original owner forbade him from using the Dominick’s name. One
day, an employee, Jim Kennedy, returned from a pizza delivery and suggested the
name "Domino's". Monaghan immediately loved the idea and officially renamed the

Burger King was founded in 1953 in Jacksonville, Florida, as Insta-Burger King by
Keith J. Kramer and his wife's uncle, Matthew Burns. Their first stores were centered
around a piece of equipment known as the Insta-Broiler, which was very effective at
cooking burgers. It proved so successful that, as they grew through franchising, they
required all of their franchises to carry the device.
While the Jacksonville chain kept expanding, two friends named James McLamore
and David R. Edgerton, both alumni of the Cornell University School of Hotel
Administration were seeking an opportunity to open their own business. McLamore
had visited the original hamburger stand belonging to Dick and Mac McDonald in
San Bernardino, California, and sensing potential in their innovative assembly line-
based production system, decided to open a similar operation.
McLamore and Edgerton acquired a license to operate an Insta-Burger King franchise
and opened their first location on 4 December 1954 at 3090 NW 36th Street in Miami.

square hamburgers referred to as "sliders". The burgers were initially priced at five

The restaurant was founded in 1987 in Rosettenville, Johannesburg by Portuguese-
