RULES AND REGULATIONS


Participant's must sincerely follow these general rules and regulations of the
championship:

1. Certificate will be issued to all the winners and participants in Traditional Yogasana Age
Group Categories.
2. Certificate will be issued to all the winners in Artistic Yoga & Mom's Special Categories.
3. Participants who won 1st to 10th place in each category will receive MERIT Certificates
and the participants of Traditional Yogasana will get the Participation Certificate.
4. Results will be announced on the competition’s day the honorable Judge decision will be
the final judgment. If anyone will have any disagreement with any Category Judgment
they can only write request letter to Cheif Jury, If Participant will not maintain atmosphere,
mutual respect, civil congenial relationship then that participant will be disqualified from
the championship.
5. Participant should maintain an atmosphere encouraging mutual respect, civil congenial
relationship and free from all forms of harassment and violence, where everyone can
discuss their differences and exchange ideas openly, honestly and respectfully.

6. Participant should use respectful language with each other any bullying, negative
gossiping, spreading of rumors may result to expulsion from the championship.

PERFORMANCE GUIDEANCE (Inter-National-Level)

Single Round
Participant has to do 3 Asanas from given chart & 2 Optional Asanas from out of
the chart.

Selection Rules
Top 10 athletes will be winner out of all athletes in round.

NOTE :
1. Medical Fitness Certificate:
• The Medical Fitness Certificate of the player is compulsory. Each player will
submit Medical Fitness Certificate at least from M.B.B.S./B.A.M.S./B.H.M.S./B.U.M.S.
Doctor, to the Scorer before their performance during the Championship.

2. Risk Certificate/Declaration/Undertaking by the Competitor:


• Player will submit Risk Certificate / Declaration / Undertaking Forms duly filled
and signed (In case of minor participants, the parents of minor participants will
sign the risk certificate / Declaration Certificate) and counter signed by the State
Secretary of their respective state, to the scorer before their performance during
the competition.

3. Photographs of Players:
Each player should have EIGHT latest colored Photographs of 2.5 x 3 cm or Eight
latest colored Passport Size Photographs of 2 x 2 inches (51 x 51 mm) Head must
be between 1 -1 3/8 inches (25 - 35 mm) from the bottom of the chin to the top
of the head. While coming for their performance during the Championship.

4. Dress of Competitors:
• The male competitors will wear skin tight Sports T-Shirt and Short in the Yoga
Competition and attractive costume in the Artistic, Rhythmic and Professional
Yoga Competition during the performance.

• The female competitors will wear skin tight Sports T-Shirt and
Short/Gymnastics Costume and attractive costume in the Artistic, Rhythmic
and Professional. Yoga Competition however the female competitors in the
age groups of 25-35 years, above 35 years and Professional Yoga
Competition may wear tight track bottom and tight Sport Costume during the
performance.

TRADITIONAL YOGASANA (SUB-JUNIOR, JUNIOR, SENIOR AGE
CATEGORIES, MOM'S CATEGORIES)

1. VRIKSHASANA (Tree Pose)

Key Points-Step by Step


1. Back maximum stretched.
2. Folded leg in alignment to other
leg, lower leg straight & toe
pointing forward.
3. Hands joined above shoulders
without thumb gripping & upper
arms touching the ear.
4. Gaze in front.

2. PADAHASTASANA (Hand-to-foot Pose)

Key Points-Step by Step


1. Legs to be straight.
2. Abdomen, chest & forehead touching
legs.
3. Back maximum stretched & forearms
touching legs from the side.
4. Hands on the side of feet with
alignment of toes.

3. USHTRASANA (Camel Pose)


Key Points-Step by Step
1. Knees, heels and toes together.
2. Thighs and arms perpendicular
to the ground, parallel to each
other.
3. Palms placed on the heels.
4. Ankles touching the ground.

4. Padma Sarvangasana (Shoulderstand Lotus Pose)
Key Points-Step by Step
1. Padmasana to be assumed after going into
position of Sarvangasana, crossing of legs in
center with knees aligned.
2. Knees, hips, back & shoulders in straight
line.
3. Palms placed on back parallel to each other,
elbows in straight line to shoulders.
4. Chin to be locked.

5. DHANURASANA (Bow Pose)


Key Points-Step by Step
1. Toes, heels and knees together.
2. Gripping from ankles with thumb inner
side & fingers outside. Naval on the
ground.
3. Thighs, buttocks and lower back making
maximum arch with head straight.
4. Shoulders to be aligned with knees.

6. TRIKONASANA (Triangle Pose)

Key Points-Step by Step

1. Waistline to be parallel to the


ground.
2. Position of palm adjacent to heel
& both arms in a straight line.
3. Both heels in alignment to each
other.
4. Face towards sky.

7. CHAKRASANA (Wheel Pose)

Key Points-Step by Step

1. Gap in hands and feet with each other at


shoulder’s width, fingers pointing heels.
2. Arms & legs to be perpendicular to the
ground, parallel to each other.
3. Thighs, hips & back making maximum
arch.
4. Neck in between two arms with upper
arms touching ears.

8. GARUDASANA (Eagle Pose)

Key Points-Step by Step

1. Gap in hands and feet with each other at


shoulder’s width, fingers pointing heels.
2. Arms & legs to be perpendicular to the
ground, parallel to each other.
3. Thighs, hips & back making maximum
arch.
4. Neck in between two arms with upper
arms touching ears.

9. PASCHIMOTTANASANA (Seated Forward Bend)

Key Points-Step by Step

1. Back maximum stretched with abdomen,


chest & forehead touching legs.
2. Both legs straight with knee pits on
ground.
3. Toes pointing up together, aligned to
other fingers, to be gripped with thumb
and Index finger, other fingers folded
inside.
4. Elbows on the ground, touching leg.

10. PURNA SHALABHASANA (Locust Pose)
Key Points-Step by Step

1. After assuming Shalabhasana arch of


feet to be placed on the cranium, arms
parallel to each other at shoulders width.
2. Chest, shoulders & chin to be on
ground.
3. Knees, heels and toes together.
4. Palms facing down with thumb
&fingers together.

11. OMKARASANA (Dance Pose)


Key Points-Step by Step

1. Heel of upper leg touching opposite


side shoulder & toe stretched out.
2. Both arms straight & parallel to each
other with fingers together & back
straight.
3. Second leg crossing elbows in straight
line, with toe stretched out.
4. Face forward.

12. ARDHA MATSYENDRASANA (Half Spinal Twist)


Key Points-Step by Step

1. Both buttocks & one knee on the ground.


2. One hand gripping other thigh from back
side, & other hand gripping toe with thumb
and Index finger, other fingers folded inside.
3. Back straight with shoulders & head in a
straight line.
4. Big toe in line of folded knee on ground.

13. HALASANA (Plough Pose)
Key Points-Step by Step
1. Legs stretched & straight.
2. Back to be straight.
3. Arms parallel to each other up to
shoulders width palms on ground with
fingers & thumb together.
4. Toes together stretched,
pointing outside.

14. HANUMANA ASANA (Monkey Pose)


Key Points-Step by Step
1. Both legs stretched straight, touching
ground, toes pointing outside.
2. Back, neck and head straight.
3. Ankle of the back leg touching the
ground.
4. Hands joined in front of
chest, face forward.

15. MATSYASANA (Fish Pose)


Key Points-Step by Step
1. Both knees & elbows on the ground.
2. Gripping big toes with thumb and
Index finger, other fingers folded
inside, cranium touching ground, not
forehead.
3. Making maximum arch with spine.
4. Gaze towards back.

16. Ardha Chandrasana
(Half Moon Pose)
Key Points-Step by Step
1. Upper body bend back with parallel to
the floor.
2. Palms facing upwards and pointing
backwards with biceps in contact with
ears.
3. Face facing upwards.

NOTE:
Participant's will choose 3 compulsory Asanas from these asanas for each
round.

GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS
FOR EASY ASANA’S
1. Participants will do each asana for 10 seconds.
2. Participant can select 3 asanas from the above chart, if any participant will
choose other own asana which will not be strictly acceptable.
3. The decision will be based on the participant's flexibility, alignment, strength,
balance, facial expressions, dress code and overall presentation.
4. The dress of the participants should be body friendly and comfortable and it is
advised to wear comfortable clothes.
5. The Jury's decision will be final.
6. 1st to 10th place winners will be awarded with merit certificate and participant's
will receive participation certificate.

Note:

CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND

1. All the First Winners of Traditional Yogasana age group in (Sub-Junior, Junior,
Senior Males & Females) will qualify the champion of champion round.

2. Participants will perform 5 Yoga asan's in champion of champion round.

3. Asana’s can be selected by own preference but in these forms, those asana’s
must be selected by choosing one forward bending, one backward bending, one leg
balance, one arm balance and one twisting pose.

4. There will be two group in champion of champion round under 20 and above 20
where Mens/Boys and Women/Girls will perform together. All Gold medalist
athletes from traditional Yogasana Category's will participate in champion of
champion round.

5. The decision will be based on the participant's flexibility, alignment, strength,


balance, facial expressions, dress code and overall presentation.

6. The Jury's decision will be final.
