Argentina
Overnight rains blossomed across NE Argentina and S Brazil, leaving 2-4 inches over northern Entre Rios and southern Rio Grande do Sul. Over the next 48 hours, rains will continue to train across the North, while the South cools and dries. The next rain chance for central Argentinas Corn Belt is Jan 2, leaving Argentinas crop vulnerable and waiting.

Overnight, a large rain complex developed over E Argentina and S Brazil leaving some heavy totals. Today, rains will stretch E-W along this active front as it crosses all northern areas. South of this front, S and C Argentina will cool into the 60s and 70s F

As of 7AM CST yesterdaythe heaviest storms reached extreme SE Cordoba, S Santa Fe, Entre Rios and NE Buenos Aires giving a drink to only 25% of Argentinas corn crop. The previous day, a few storms left precipitation in a very small area of La Pampa, SW Buenos Aires and Cordoba, but missed most of the region where 1/2 of Argentinas corn is grown.

This weekendit will be very dry and cool across La Pampa and SW Buenos Aires.

Wednesdayrains return on the fringe of corn producing areas of La Pampa and SW Buenos Aires, while the heart of the Corn Belt to the north, remains dry.

After today, the following 7 days will see the heaviest rains fall in lesser producing regions of the NW and SE.

The good news is that the next 7 days will average cooler than normal, before temperatures begin to warm in far southern regions (La Pampa).
