Prizes will be given away, including 3 lucky winners of a pair of 2012 Bison football season tickets. Latern Lit Ski and Snowshoe Sat 1/7, 5-7:30pm, Itasca State Park near Park Rapids, Minn. Starts at the Jacob V. Brower Visitor Center, classic ski, skate ski or snowshoe at your own pace along the kerosene lantern lit route. Bring along smores fixings or hotdogs for cooking at the campfire. Candlelight Ski Snowshoe/Hike Sat 1/7, 6-9pm, Alexandria. Ski or snowshoe by moonlight along the candle-lit trails of Lake Carlos. Warm up by the wood stove and enjoy refreshments in the shelter afterwards. Bring your own skis. Snowshoe rentals available. Ski passes are $6/day and can be purchased at the park. Instead, he falls for the lovely Lotte, a young woman who is promised to another man. The affair becomes the inspiration for a novel that would captivation Europe and launch the Romantic movement.
