1. PURPOSE:
To describe the Procedure for cleaning of Semi-Automatic Dropper Filling Machine.
2. SCOPE:
This procedure is applicable for cleaning of Semi-Automatic Dropper Filling Machine installed in Arqiyat
Section.
3. RESPONSIBILITY:
Operator for cleaning as per defined procedure
Production officer for proper implementation of this SOP.
Quality assurance officer for ensuring the implementation of this SOP.
4. MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT:
Purified water
White cotton lint free duster.
70% IPA
5. PROCEDURE:
5.1 Cleaning;
5.1.1 Cleaning procedure should be done when the day process is over or at the end of batch.
5.1.2 Unplug power supply and cover the electric panels with plastic sheet.
5.1.3 Pour some hot water into the hopper and pass it through the nozzles to clean the nozzles properly.
5.1.4 Dismantle the removable part of machine and wash them with purified water twice.
5.1.5 Rinse these parts of machine.
5.1.6 Mop the external and internal surface of machine parts with 70% IPA.
5.1.7 Reassemble all the parts and mop the whole machine with 70% IPA with the help of lint free cloth.
5.1.8 Electric control panel is cleaned with the dry duster in order to remove the dust particles.
5.1.9 Use the clean equipment within 72 hours from the date of cleaning otherwise re-clean the equipment
before use.
5.1.10 In case the cleaned equipment is not in used within 72 hours from the date of cleaning than re clean
the equipment before use.
6. PRECAUTIONS
6.1.1 Wear mask and gloves during cleaning.
6.1.2 Do not switch on the machine during cleaning.
6.1.3 Avoid extra spillage of water during cleaning
