PROJECT TITLE: Project HANDOG
Helping Aspired and Needy Daycare pupils Obtain Growth through Free School Supplies
I. TARGET DATE: Year 2025-2026
II. BACKGROUND AND RATIONALE
Education is one of the most valuable tools for a child’s growth and development. However,
many young learners, especially those in daycare, face challenges due to a lack of basic school
supplies. At Arwas Elementary School, several parents struggle to provide their children with the
necessary materials due to financial constraints. This situation affects the learning experience of
students, making it difficult for them to actively participate in class activities.
Recognizing this need, Project HANDOG aims to support these young learners by providing
essential school materials. By ensuring that each child has access to the necessary tools for
learning, we hope to foster an environment where they can fully engage in their education
without the burden of inadequate resources.
This initiative will not only benefit the students but also lessen the financial strain on parents and
strengthen community engagement by encouraging local stakeholders to take part in the noble
cause of uplifting early childhood education.
III. OBJECTIVES
This project aims to support young learners by providing them with the school supplies they
need to enhance their learning experience. Specifically, it seeks to:
A. Provide basic school supplies to daycare pupils of Arwas Child Development Center to aid
their daily learning activities.
B. Reduce the financial burden on parents by offering free educational materials.
C. Encourage community members, organizations, and local businesses to take part in a
meaningful cause through donations and sponsorships.
D. Foster a culture of generosity and support for education within the community.
IV. TARGET BENEFICIARIES
The primary beneficiaries of this project are approximately 30 daycare pupils currently enrolled
at Arwas Child Development Center, Purok 1, Barangay Arwas, Diadi, Nueva Vizcaya.
V. PROJECT DESCRIPTION/INTERVENTION/METHODS AND STRATEGIES
Project HANDOG is a community-driven initiative aimed at addressing the need for school
materials among young learners. Through organized efforts in fundraising, procurement, and
distribution, the project ensures that each daycare pupil receives essential school supplies.
To achieve this, the following steps will be taken:
1. Planning and Identification of Needed Materials – A list of essential school supplies (e.g.,
paper, pencils, crayons, notebooks) will be created to ensure all students receive adequate
materials.
2. Fundraising and Solicitation of Donations – The project team will reach out to potential
sponsors, including local businesses and community members, to solicit financial support or
in-kind donations.
3. Procurement of School Supplies – Supplies will be purchased from budget-friendly sources
to maximize the number of students reached.
4. Sorting and Packaging – School supplies will be grouped into individual packs for each
daycare pupil.
5. Distribution Event – A simple program will be held at Arwas Child Development Center to
distribute the supplies and promote the importance of education.
Through this initiative, we aim to encourage a culture of sharing and support among teachers,
parents, and community stakeholders in ensuring quality education for all.
