OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the activity, the participants will be able to:

1. Conduct regular immunization drive among children specifically infants

aged 0-12 months old.

2. Provide prenatal check-ups and maternal education to pregnant women in

the community.

3. Offer cervical cancer screenings (visual inspection with acetic acid) to

women aged

4. Carry out a PhilPEN (Philippine Package of Essential Noncommunicable

Disease Interventions) risk assessment among households in the community

5. Conduct Philhealth E-konsulta First Patient Encounter.

DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT

The activity amplifies one of the Department of Health’s key programs,

“Purokalusugan”, an initiative designed to enhance the health and well-being

of the community residents. It seeks to promote health awareness and deliver

essential healthcare services, especially in Sitio Atmurok, one of the


geographically isolated and hard-to-reach areas of Bulol-salo. Being deprived

of healthcare services for many months, this activity will provide the

community with access to critical healthcare, including an immunization drive,

maternal care, and more. This initiative will improve overall well-being, foster

better health practices, and ensure that everyone, regardless of location,

receives the care they deserve.

EVALUATION

The PuroKalusugan at Sitio Atmurok successfully provided necessary

healthcare services to the community. The activities, including the regular

immunization drive for infants, prenatal check-ups for pregnant women,

cervical cancer screenings using visual inspection with acetic acid for

women,Consultation with E-Konsulta FPE and PhilPEN risk assessments

every households, were carried out smoothly and efficiently. These services

addressed critical health needs and ensured that residents had access to

necessary medical care. The immunization drive helped protect infants from

preventable diseases, while prenatal check-ups ensured pregnant women

received timely-care. Cervical cancer screenings contributed to early

detection and prevention, empowering women with the knowledge to take

charge of their health.


Overall, the PuroKalusugan activity not only met its goals but also had a

lasting positive impact on the well-being of the community, promoting better

health practices, increasing access to healthcare, and strengthening the

health system in this remote and geographically isolated area.
