Environmental problems now require international cooperation. The author served as vice president of YES-O, an organization that promotes environmental awareness. During their term, they implemented a landfill made of recycled plastic bottles and a waste segregation program. They segregated waste into biodegradable, non-biodegradable, and recyclable categories and maintained cleanliness at materials recovery facilities. They also participated in a Science Olympiad. The author hopes next year's officers will continue environmental improvements at the school.

Accomplishment Report

Nowadays environmental problems are too big to be managed by individual persons or individual countries. In other words, it is an international problem and that is why (YES-O) is launched which the environment is of a major concern to wake the awareness and initiative of the people to develop and help the threat further damage of the environment. It has been a program to promote the awareness of the condition of the environment. I completed my one year term as a YES-O vice president. During this term we implemented a landfill which is made of recycled plastic bottle. Another is waste segregation which we manage and monitor the waste materials. Waste segregation is a distinct practice from resource recovery which focuses on delaying the rate of consumption of natural resources. We segregate wastes from biodegradable,nonbiodegradable , and recyclable. Also,we maintain the cleanliness of materials recovery facilities or MRF. And lastly we actively participated during the Science Olympiad last October 28-30, 2011. I hope that the next officers for the 2012-2013 will do their best for the improvement of our school.
