The human skeleton is the internal framework of the body. It is composed of 206 bones in
total and is divided into two main parts: the axial skeleton and the appendicular skeleton.

1. Axial Skeleton
The axial skeleton includes the bones of the head, neck, and trunk. It serves to protect vital
organs such as the brain, heart, and lungs.
