At every Regional Event there will be ten entry openings for Clubs to show the DockDogs community the talent from within your Club and away from the Dock!!! We hope this will be a fun way to bring the DockDogs Community closer and add a little entertainment to the Regional Events Saturday night Socials throughout the year. Rules for auditions: 1. Prepare a 90 second routine. Acts permitted but not limited to are: Singer, musician, comedy, dance, magic, canine, juggling, acrobatic, etc. 2. Singers are required to sing a capella. 3. Songwriters/musicians/rappers can sing/rap to a track of an original work or cover and/or play your own instrument(s). 4. Bands must provide own equipment 5. No fire, sharp objects, weapons or explosives (pyrotechnics) allowed without obtaining special permissions from DockDogs organizers. 6. Eligibility Requirements: The contest is open to 2012 DockDogs Worldwide ACTIVE members who are 7 years of age or older as of October 15, 2011 The contest is open to members who are not professional performers with a current performance contract. A PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN MUST ACCOMPANY CONTESTANTS UNDER THE AGE OF 18 TO THE AUDITIONS. The contest judges' immediate family and household members, are not eligible to enter. The term "immediate family members" includes spouses, parents, grandparents, siblings, children, and grandchildren. 7. How to Enter: Please submit a 60 second video to ryan.westlake@dockdogs.com 2 weeks prior to the start of the Regional Event you would like to compete in.

The 10 acts chosen will be notified no later than the 1-week prior of the Regional Event. The term "contestant" shall refer collectively to individual performers or groups. Limit one audition per Contestant. Each contestant will be given one opportunity to perform for the judges in each instance and performances may not be re-started once commenced, except that the judges will have the right to afford a contestant an opportunity to re-start a particular performance if, in the determination of the judges, technical or production-related problems hinder the contestant's performance. A panel of judges comprised of DockDogs personnel and or Special Guests will judge Contestants based on the following criteria, applied equally: o (a) Originality, o (b) Skill, o (c) Poise o (d) Likely audience appeal based on audience applause. 8. The winning act from each DockDogs has talent regional contest will receive a $500 travel voucher to be showcased at the DockDogs World Championships DockDogs Has Talent Finale. We will provide you with: a stage, 2 wireless microphones, basic sound system used at a National DockDogs event, mixer board, DVD/CD player and or computer to play sound tracks. Any other or ancillary equipment required can be supplied and utilized by the act for themselves.
