II. Objective(s): At the end of the lesson the students will be able to:
A. Identify common issues and concerns associated with puberty and recognize the
importance of familial support and understanding in navigating these changes.
B. Explore various roles within the family dynamic that can provide support and guidance
to children during puberty, including parents, siblings, and extended family members.
C. Develop strategies and resources for families to actively engage in supporting children
through puberty.

III. Materials Needed: Paper, Worksheet and Pen

IV. Instructions:
1. In the first column, please list three concerns or issues related to puberty that you
currently worry about, have experienced, or are facing.
2. In the second column, write down how you have solved or think you could solve each
concern or issue.
3. In the third column, identify a trusted adult you feel comfortable talking to about each
concern or issue. This could be a family member, teacher, counselor, or another adult you
trust.
4. Remember, your trusted adult is there to support and guide you through any challenges
you may face during puberty.
5. Take your time and be honest with yourself as you complete this activity.

1. Imagine you're facing difficulties during puberty and need someone to talk to.
2. List 5 people you would want to call you during these times of difficulty.
3. Share the name of that person with the class and briefly explain why you chose
them.
4. Let's hear about the people who you trust and feel comfortable reaching out to when
you need support.

I. Activity No 6: Puberty Roleplay: Who's the Best Support Superhero?

II. Objective(s): At the end of the lesson the students will be able to:
A. identify common issues and concerns associated with puberty and recognize the
importance of familial support and understanding in navigating these changes.
B. Explore various roles within the family dynamic that can provide support and guidance
to children during puberty, including parents, siblings, and extended family members.
C. Develop strategies and resources for families to actively engage in supporting children
through puberty.

III. Materials Needed: Scenario cards

IV. Instructions:
1. Divide the students into small groups of 3-5 members.
2. Distribute the scenario cards and role cards to each group.
3. Each group will receive a scenario card describing a situation related to puberty.
4. Their task is to discuss and decide which role or person (parent, sibling, extended
family member, educator, healthcare professional) would be the best support
superhero in that situation.
5. After discussing, each group will present their scenario and their chosen support
superhero to the rest of the class.

Scenario Cards:
1. You're feeling embarrassed about the changes happening to your body and want
someone to talk to about it.
2. You have a question about reproductive health and want accurate information from a
trustworthy source.
3. You're feeling overwhelmed by peer pressure to engage in risky behaviors and need
guidance on how to handle it.
4. You're experiencing emotional ups and downs and want someone to listen and offer
support.
5. You're curious about sexuality and relationships but feel uncomfortable discussing it
with your family.
6. You're experiencing menstrual cramps for the first time and need advice on how to
manage them.
7. You're struggling with body image issues and need someone to help you feel confident
and comfortable in your own skin.
8. You're concerned about a friend who seems to be struggling with puberty-related
changes and wants to help them.

9. You're curious about puberty-related changes in the opposite gender and want
someone to explain it to you.
