Notes from the Principal:

As we come closer to the end of the school year, it is time to remind ourselves of how much we have accomplished. Students have completed 4/5 of the school year. We have celebrated innumerable student achievements through the incredible support of our parents and community. Yet, there is still much to be done. Provincial Achievement Test writing begins on May 14 - reminding us of how close we are to year's end. Regular classes will continue through to June 22 as we still have a large portion of curricula to cover. Teachers have the option of a final exam or a final project. Each student will be notified by his/her teacher as to what the final assessment will be. With the warmer weather finally here, it is time to remind students that school appropriate clothing must be worn. For girls, we require no bra straps showing and tank tops having at least a 2 inch strap. Shorts must be longer than the student's fingers when the arms are relaxed at the student's sides. We remind the boys that we don't want to see their boxers hanging out of their pants. Our last Renaissance pep rally will take place on May 31. Please mark it on your calendars. We love to have parents and community members join us in honouring our students. Thank you for your continued support of our students and staff. Together we are making a difference for our youth and growing together. Mrs. Bobbie-Jo Douglas Principal Pioneer School
