Bicol Region, also known as Region V, is a peninsula at the


southeastern end of Luzon, the islands of Catanduanes and
Masbate, and several outlying islands. The region has 6
provinces namely Albay, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur,
Catanduanes, Masbate and Sorsogon. It has one
independent component city and six component cities. The
regions political and administrative center is Legaspi City
and the regions cultural and religious center is Naga City.
Several volcanoes are found in the region: Mt. Labo, Mt.
Malinao, Mt. Isarog, Mt. Bulusan and Mt. Mayon which is
famous for its perfect natural cone.

HOW TO GET THERE


There are daily flights into Legazpi
from Manila.
If Naga is your port of entry to the
region, no problem. You can take a
flight from Manila (just know that
the Naga airport is really 14km
away from Naga),
or take a bus from Cubao or
Ermita.
You can take a bus from Pasay,
Cubao or Ermita in Metro Manila.
From Legazpi, you can get a bus or
minivan transfer to get you where
you need to go. As much as you
can, try to get an air-conditioned
mode of transportation.

Thefeast ofOur Lady of Peafrancia


is celebrated on the third Saturday of
September in Naga City, Bicol
Philippines. All roads and routes will
lead to Naga City in Camarines Sur
where Bicolanos from here and
abroad will flock to that progressive
city to pay honor to the Virgin of
Peafrancia, miraculous patroness of
the Bicol Region.
