Our first two weeks have been
truly exciting! Our Open House was also a success- we had the most participation out of the entire 2nd grade classes. Reading: Ask and answer questions as
who, what, when, where, why and how- a.k.a. 5Ws or Retelling. Math: Count within 1000, skip count by 5s, 10s and 100s, Fluently add and subtract within 20 using mental strategies. By end of 2nd grade, know form memory all sums of two one-digit numbers. Science: Observe and identify external features of plants and animals and describe how these features help them live in different environments. Social Studies: Give examples of the responsibilities of a good citizen.
