What causes the wind

temperature change?
By Mohammed Adnan

Why did i choose this topic?

I choose this topic because, when I walk to the school or be at the park I see the
wind temperature change from hot to cold when it is time for sunset. And
sometimes their is very cold wind in night after evening. So I always wonder how
does it change.?

Small scale winds

The rising and sinking of wind take place on a global and local scale. The simple
example of local scale is sea breeze. On the sunny days the sun rays heat up the
ground quickly. As the sea surface has a geater capacity to absorb the sun rays
and it is more difficult to warm up.this leads to to a tempreture contrast between
the warm land and the cooler sea.As the lands heats up it warms the air above
it.The air over the sea is much cooler and denser. This is why beaches are often
cooler than the land in a hot sunny day.

Large scale winds

The similar process takes place in global scale. The sun rays reach the polar
regions. This sets up a temperature difference between the hot equator and cold
poles.Air that has risen at the equator moves polewards at higher level at the
atmosphere then cools 30 degrees latitude north and south. And another portion of
air moves polewards and meets the cold air spreading southwards from artic.

Normal Changes
Changes in wind happen all day.In summer, from morning till evening there is hot
wind or very hot temperature, and in the nights it is cold. The temerature of wind
also changes in winter. From morning to evening and the whole night it will always
cold wind.
