PRACTICE BEHAVIOR 5.1
Identify social policy at the local, state, and federal level that
impacts well-being, service delivery, and access to social services.

I will research and become familiar with all of the social policies
that affect the agency. I will assess which policies intervene when
discussing the well-being, service delivery, and access to social
services. I will also discuss with various employees about policies
for accreditation, mandate reporting, the diverse rules for the
different DSS agencies, Acts that impact the agency, rules
regarding the agencys school, etc.
PRACTICE BEHAVIOR 5.2
Assess how social welfare and economic policies impact the
delivery of and access to social services.

After the policies that impact the agency are identified, I will
evaluate the ones that relate to the delivery of and access to
services. I can do more research to see in what ways and how they
impact the agency.
PRACTICE BEHAVIOR 5.3
Apply critical thinking to analyze, formulate, and advocate for
policies that advance human rights and social, economic, and
environmental justice.

I will research and assess the various federal and agency policies so
that I can determine what aspects need to be modified to advance
justice and human rights. I can then bring the policies to the
attention of the agency superintendent or the local representative
and advocate for the modification of such policies.
