Engage in Policy Practice

Practice Behavior 5.1

Identify social policy at the local, state, and federal level that
impacts well-being, service delivery, and access to social
services.
Attend Court hearings with Judge, attorneys, supervisors,
social workers, GAL, and any family to be aware of the
clients current plan and any changes that may be made.

Practice Behavior 5.2

Assess how social welfare and economic policies impact the
delivery of and access to social services.
Talk to the families about the types of services that they are
being offered and if they are taking advantage of those
services.

Practice Behavior 5.3

Apply critical thinking to analyze, formulate, and advocate for
policies that advance human rights and social, economic,
and environmental justice.
Conduct home and agency visits collecting
recommendations from the child to present to court
