*ENGLISH CLASS RULES

Welcome to our first term 2017.

I hope you are back with all your
energies and friendliness.
1. Here are the rules for your English class.

a. Students who, according to teachers judgment,

show an excellent command of the language in
the first weeks can be exempted from the course
by taking an online test and an oral test.
b. This is valid for English 1,2, 3, and 4.
c. Exemption will take place if a student gets 6.0 in
both the online test and oral tests.
d. Your teacher will upload your grades on the
Online system as soon as he/she has them.
e. This semester the online test will be given on
and/or... If a student is not in the list by that time
he or she will not be allowed to take the
exemption test.
2.-
a)Attendance : 80%
b)Passing grade : 4.0
c)Arrival: not more
than 10 minutes
late.
3. Evaluation for English 1,2,3,4 and 5

The CATEDRA grade will consist of four grades,

with 100%
of the total average.

a. Oral & online mid-term test

30%
b. Oral & online final-term test
30%
c. 2-4 Quizzes mini-projects lab homework,
etc. 30%
d. 1-2 presentations (2-3 min. each, English 1 &
2)
or 1 Presentation ( 4 to 5 min, English 3, 4 & 5)
10%
Make up test (Online test and
oral test)

- The make-up test will be

taken only
by students who get 3.4 to
3.9 in
CATEDRA and
- The final grade will be the
make-up
test grade.

AFTER A TOTAL
OF__5___UNEXCUSED ABSENCES
A STUDENT WILL FAIL THE
COURSE AUTOMATICALLY

Mobile phones, I-pods and
any device with earplugs are
not allowed in the classroom
unless they are turned off.
Please check to make sure
your phone is turned off
before entering class. Any
student who chooses to take
a call or use an electronic
device in the classroom will
be considered disruptive and

You cannot change your

parallel unofficially. You
need to do it officially. Your
English teacher cannot do
it. Only Your Jefe de
Carrera can change your
class.

a. Oral and Online Mid-Term test:

May 2nd May 05th.
b. Oral and Online Final-Term
test: June 27th
June 30th
c. Online Make-up test: July 12th .
d. Oral make-up test: Agreement
with
your teacher.
 Medical certificates
They will be accepted
only if they are presented
48 hours after the
student comes back to
classes.
