RULES AND POLICIES FOR ENGLISH CLASS

1. Class sessions will be held in English. Translation will be used ONLY when necessary.
2. The treat between the teacher and students, and among students will be respectful. It includes
appropriate language and manners.
3. Class chatrooms or groups will be only used for academic purposes, NOT FOR PERSONAL
PURPOSES.
4. Classes will start at the same hour and on the same day as you have in your schedule.
Students will responsibly join classes at the time stated.
5. Students can join the class up to 10 minutes after it starts. After that time, attendance control
will be run, and it will count as an absence if students are not online.
6. Your cameras must be turned on during class or, in case of technological problems, make
sure to actively participate during the execution of the activities. If students with cameras off
do not participate after several requests, they will be removed from the class and it will count
as an absence.
7. Remember you need to complete 70% of attendance to approve the level regardless the
grades you get throughout the course.
8. If you have connection issues, as power shutdowns or problems with internet servers, please
notify your teacher in advance to rearrange you due dates of the assignments.
9. In the case of extraordinary events when students can not join the on-line class, it will be
recorded and uploaded to the institutional repository and participants will be able to watch the
class later and develop the activities.
10. Your homework assignments will be delivered by using your Moodle, WhatsApp, or e-mail.
11. Late works will not be graded. You will have to submit your homework within the time
assigned by your teacher unless you can justify the reason of the delay.
12. Students’ participation during on-line sessions will be rewarded with extra marks. Every 10
extra marks represent 1 point to the final grade of the systematic evaluation.
13. Always do your best! Language learning requires practice and hard work.
