What is Gypsum?
Gypsum is the one of minerals with calcium levels
that prevailed in its mineral.
Chemical formula CaSO4.2H2O (calcium sulfate
hydrate)

The detail about Gypsum


Gypsum colours: white, gray, brown, yellow,
and transparent.
Size:120 cm x 240 cm.
Thickness: 9 mm to 15 mm
How to make gypsum board

Calcined gypsum is mixed with water


and additives to form a slurry which is
fed between continuous layers of paper
on a board machine.
As the board moves down a
conveyer line, the calcium sulfate
recrystallizes or rehydrates, reverting
to its original rock state.
The paper becomes chemically and
mechanically bonded to the core.
The board is cut to length and
conveyed through dryers to remove

The function of gypsum in Buildings

Suspended of ceiling system.
