Student Transportation
The first few days of school are very busy and dismissal takes much
longer than normal. Please be patient as everyone learns our
procedures.

How should we dismiss your child? Car, walker, bus (give bus
number), Quest, daycare (list the name of the daycare)
We only accept 1 mode of transportation per child.
Change in transportation:
(1) a note for the teacher or
(2) call the office before 2:15
*No emails please.
**Please note: Changing transportation increases the safety risk for your
student. It allows room for confusion and miscommunication to occur.
Children cannot be released after 2:15 per district procedure.
Student Transportation (cont.)
Walkers:
All walkers will be dismissed from the bike rack. For the safety of
our students and to maintain a smooth dismissal process,
walkers will not be released from other locations.
All walkers must have a walker form on file at school before
being released as a walker.
Pre K, Kinder, 1st graders must to have an adult (parent,
guardian, older sibling, etc) meet them at the bike rack to
escort them home. Adults, please bring your ID to have your
student released to you.
Please note, it is a parents responsibility to ensure the safety of
their walkers once they leave campus. Walkers who have parent
permission to leave without an adult are unsupervised once
they leave campus.
Please carefully consider all options before allowing your child
to walk home.

Breakfast in the Classroom
Each child will be offered breakfast in the
classroom each morning.

Breakfast is from 7:45-8:10.

Breakfast is free for all BCE students.

Lunch will be in the cafeteria and lunch prices will

depend on full, reduced, or free pay. Please be
sur to fill out our lunch applications.
Lunch Applications
Our goal is to have every parent fill out a lunch
application.
Our school receives Title One funding based on
lunch applications.
Based on your great effort last year, we have
received Title One funding to purchase resources,
additional instructional staff, and we now receive
breakfast in the classroom.
We need this every year to continue to this Title
One funding year after year.
BCE is a Healthy Alliance School
How does it impact me and my student?
You may provide any food items for your child only
You (or the school) may not provide foods for
other children or the class unless the food item
falls within the Federal Nutritional Requirements
(must be pre-approved by Mrs. Eubanks)
Suggestions- instead of cupcakes for birthdays,
bring non-food goodie bags or pencils for each
child in the class
District Visitation Procedures
In an effort to be consistent among schools, we now have
uniform visitation procedures in Richland Two. We
encourage you to visit and be involved.
When planning your visit, please let your teacher know
youre planning to visit. Please arrange for childcare for
younger siblings. Visits should remain around 30 minutes to
avoid classroom disruption.
When you arrive, Let the receptionist know who youre
here to visit. She will show you how to sign-in through
Lobbyguard and complete a visitor form (once per year).
To ensure the safety of our students, visitors will be
escorted to the classroom.
When the visit is over, visitors will sign out through
Lobbyguard.
