    HOW IT STARTED
    • The King and Queen weren’t doing their duty
    • They were hiding in Versailles not in Paris like they are suppose to
    • Then they raised the price of wheat and the poor couldn’t pay the cost
    • The country went further into debt
    • Also they weren’t able to produce an heir
    THE BASTILLE
    • On July 14, 1789 a group of angry protesters gathered around the bastille
    • After a while they stormed the prison
    • Took the governor out and beheaded him
    • Held the dissipated head on a pike for all to see
    EXECUTION OF KING LOUIS XVI
    • On January 21, 1793 the king of France was killed
    • He was killed by the guillotine
    • This was the official ending to the monarchy
    • Not long after his wife was killed
    THE REIGN OF TERROR
    • When over 40,000 people were killed
    • Over accusations of Counterrevolution
    • Most had an unjust or no trail.
