Forest
 Located between the tundra to the north and deciduous forest to the
south
 Mostly consists of conifers which are trees with needles instead of leaves
 Conifers in this biome are evergreen which allow them to survive very
cold and dry areas
 The winters are very cold and aired, while summers are short and
precipitous

 Since the chosen area is very wet


during this period it will be very
difficult to start forest fires
either way contests are asked to
never leave their fires
unattended
 For making shelters contestants
are only allowed to cut branches
of fully grown trees, and collect
dead branches
 The fishing restraints are limited
to ten fish a day and the rare
artic grayling is off limits
