PARENTING STYLES

KYANNA GRAY
AUTHORITATIVE
PARENTING
• This types of parents have high
expectations for the children
or child They set limits and are
very consistent in enforcing
boundaries.
• Like my mom she wants me to
get A’s and B’s in school and I
have to be home at a certain
time I cant go out sometimes
because I have homework or
chores
AUTOCRATIC PARENTING
(AKA AUTHORITARIAN OR
DOMINATING PARENTS)

• This parents want their

children to be well-behaved
and successful, but their strict
rules don’t allow their kid a
lot of space
• One of my friends mom is like
this she wants her and her
sister to become something
in life but don’t have a strict
rule book
PERMISSIVE
PARENTING
• . Permissive parenting is a type of
parenting style characterized by low
demands with high responsiveness.
Permissive parents tend to be very
loving, yet provide few guidelines and
rules. These parents do not expect
mature behavior from their children
and often seem more like a friend
than a parental figure. This is my dad
he doesn't care but wants me to do
god a little bit
UNENGAGED PARENTING
(AKA UNINVOLVED
PARENTS)

• As an unengaged parent you are

generally not involved in your
children’s life.You aren’t aware of
your children’s needs, what activities
they are involved in, or what friends
they have. You tend to make decisions
based on what works best for you
and usually you don’t nurture, respect
or discipline your children. I don’t
really know how's this feel but I’ve
seen it where they push their kids
out the way so they can do work.
