Students who have IELTS or TOEFL qualifications can
produce their certificates to the Head of English Language Department Office. The requirements are as follows:- EPT PLACEMENT NEW INTAKE MINIMAL REQUIREMENT FOR EXEMPTION (NEW INTAKE) PLACEMENT The Band for Writing is given a priority over Reading. e.g.: Writing – Band 3 Reading – Band 7 Overall – Band 5 Placement – Level 4 Therefore, even though students scored a Band 7 for Reading, placement is still made based on Writing. PLACEMENT In cases of high writing bands, we refer to minimum exit requirements. e.g.: Writing – Band 6 Reading – Band 3 Overall – Band 4.5 Placement – Level 6 If the writing band achieves the passing requirement, but the reading and overall bands do not, students will be placed at the highest level.
