 The country I chose is Mexico. I chose Mexico because


my family has recipes from Mexico, it made me very
curious to find out more.
 Mexico is located in the southern area of north
America.

The primary language spoken in Mexico is Spanish, but many


people also speak English.
Mexico’s current population is approximately 131,324,614.
The three most populated states in Mexico are Mexico state,
Veracruz, and Jalisco.

GEOGRAPHY AND CLIMATE
An annual average temperature for

northwestern deserts, tropical
lowlands, southern mountain ranges,
Yucatan peninsula, and coastlines
are examples of physical features.

it’s made up of both state owned and

VALUES AND BELIEFS
The most common religion in Mexico is being a catholic
They believe that God is the “holy trinity.” That means the
father, the sun and the holy spirit.

FAMILY AND EDUCATION

Houses are typically crowded with 5 to 6 people living in one


house. This is often caused by multiple generations living in
one house.
Public schools in Mexico cost nothing, and religious
instruction is banned. School days run shorter in Mexico
It is common that children work in the mornings and go to
school in the evenings.

CUSTOMS AND TRADITIONS

Two holidays Mexico celebrates are the day of the dead, and
posada.
The day of the dead is celebrated by people making altars called ofrendas.
They’re called ofrendas because that word means offerings and they put
offerings on the altar such as, candles, flowers, personal offerings, etc.
Posada is a ritual of Mary and Joseph's search for a place to stay done
just before Christmas.

energy
Hydropower, which was 19 percent of total capacity
Other renewable sources, such as wind, solar and
geothermal energy was less than 6 percent of electricity
generation in Mexico.
