prevents women from moving to the higher level of management
• It also reflects gender roles and generate inequality between men and
women of same cardre.

are changing gradually.
• Women are the key resource in creating and developing new

• Some of the examples of women who broke GLASS CEILING are:
Marissa Mayer, Oprah Winfrey, Chanda Kochhar, Vandana Luthra,
Ritu Kumar and many more as the list goes on and on.

• It is the procedure in which women elaborate and recreate what is that

they can be, do, and accomplish in a circumstance that they previously
were denied.
• Why there is a need for women empowerment?
• Gender gap, Education sector, Health sector and Political sector.
• Hindrances-women exploitation which highlights a factor for hindrance in
women empowerment like Stalking, online and sexual harassment.
• Women empowerment progress like Mother Teresa, Richa Kar ,Indra Nooyi
etc.
• The bottom line is that societies need to recognise that it is everyone’s best
interest for women to be empowered because Why women and girls
