INTRODUCTION
1. N. R. Narayana Murthy, is an Indian IT Industrialist and the founder of Infosys.
At IIM he worked on India’s first time sharing computer system and designed
and implemented a basic interpreter for electronic Corporation of India
Limited. He started Infosys in 1981 and served as its CEO from 9881 to 2002
and as a chairman from 2000 to 2011.
2. Infosys was convince in 1981 in Pune by Narayana Murthy, Nandan nilekani,
N. S. Raghavan, S.Gopalakrishnan, S. D shibulal, K. Dinesh and Ashok Arora
all former employees of patni computer system.
3. The company was started with meager initial capital of Rs. 10000 and was
named Infosys Consultants.
4. Present CEO of Infosys is Salil Parekh.
5. Infosys is the Indian multinational company multinational provider of
business Consulting, information technology, software engineer and
Outsourcing services.
6. It was registered as Infosys consultant private limited
on 2nd July 1981.In 1983 it relocated it’s office to
Bengaluru, Karnataka, India and was later renamed to
Infosys Limited in June 2011.
7. It has its headquarters in Electronic City, Bengaluru.
8. It is a public company founded on 7th July 1981.
9. Infosys as more than 225, 000 employees.
10. Infosys is the third largest Indian based IT service
company by 2012 revenues and the second largest
employee of h-I b visa professional inorted state.

 In the year 1993, Infosys received Trophy for excellence in
export performance, Ministry of Commerce, Government of
India.
 In the year 1999, Infosys was among 20 biggest companies by
market capitalisation on Nasdaq well ahead of Adobe
system, Novel and lycos.
 India 1999, Infosys was selected as one of Asia’s leading
companies in the far Eastern economic reviews 200 survey.
 In the year 2000, president of United States bill client
complemented India on its achievement in a technology
areas citing the example of Infosys.
 In the year 2001, Infosys was raised best employer in India by
Business today.
In 2002, Infosys awarded CII-Exim bank award
for business excellence.
Infosys wonder global MAKE(Most Admired
Knowledge Enterprise) award for the year
2003 -2004 & 2005, being the only indian
company to win the award.
In April 2009, Forbes rated infosys among the
5 best performing companies in the software
and service sector in the world.
In 2009, infosys was considered one of the
business weeks 50 most innovative
companies.

conservation efforts as it compuses in jaipur,

Australian human resource institute.

award in asia for the 9th consecutive year this

Recent innovation
Infosys inaugurated new
technology, innovation hub in US
IT firm Infosys Thursday, December 6th, announced
inauguration of usne technology and innovation of in Hartford in
the US.
The company also announce that it has hired more than 7,000
American workers in the last 18 months as a part of its ongoing
commitment to accelerate the pace of digital innovation for
American enterprises.
“The Hartford hub.....will help Infosys work more closely with his
client in the region and will serve as the global Hub for Infosys’
InsurTech and Health Tech efforts.The hub will feature living labs for
the future of insurance, the future of healthcare and the future of
manufacturing amongst others”.
