 SAN FRANCISCO
   San Francisco is probably the most cosmopolitan city in the world. You 
can  find  there  a  mixture  of  American,  European  as  well  as  Oriental 
culture which is visible in the restaurants, shops and all over the city.
  It is also the business centre and the main harbour in the United States 
of the America, on the coast of the Pacific Ocean. 
 SAN FRANCISCO
Large numbers of the Chinese people arrived 
to  the  city  and  settled  there  for  good  in  a 
place  which  is  now  known  as  the  largest 
cluster of the Chinese outside their 
homeland – Chinatown.

It is the place where Al Capone was imprisoned. The Jail was closed 1n 1962 
for economic reasons. Nowadays the Jail is a museum opened for tourists to 
visit.  It has also been a scene for many famous films.
GOLDEN GATE

The Golden Gate Bridge, built in 1937, used to 
be the longest suspended bridge in the world. 
      It  is    2,7  km  long  and  it  takes  approximately 
30 minutes to walk from one end to the other. 
 CABLE CAR
   The San Francisco cable car system is the world's last 
manually operated cable car system. 
      There  were  23  lines  opened  between  1873  and  1890, 
but only three operate today and take tourists to such 
places as Union Square, Fisherman’s Wharf and along 
California Street.
 WASHINGTON
Washington D.C., known also as the District of Columbia or , 
is the capital of the United States. It has been the Capital of 
the USA since 1790. It is located along the Potomac River on 
the East Coast. It houses the federal government: the Capitol, 
the White House and the Supreme Court. 
 THE WHITE HOUSE

   The White House is the official residence of the President 
    of the United States, located  in Washington, D.C. 

        It  has  been  the  residence  of  every    president  since John 

Adams in 1800.So far 43 presidents have lived there.
 THE CAPITOL
The United States Capitol, often called 
Capitol Hill, is the seat of the United 
States  Congress,  the legislative  branch of  the  federal 
government. 
 THE LINCOLN MEMORIAL

   The Lincoln Memorial is an American 
national monument built to honour 
   the 16th president of the United States,
     Abraham  Lincoln.  It  is  located  in Washington.  The 
building contains a large sculpture of Abraham Lincoln. 
 NEW YORK
• It is the most popular and the largest city in the United States, located on the
Atlantic coast in the north-eastern part of United States. New York City consists of
five boroughs : Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island.

• The famous place in NYC is Times Square situated in Manhattan, it is famous for
its many illuminated adverts. The town has several bridges, skyscrapers ang
parks.
 LOS ANGELES
• Called often the city of Angels or L.A. is located in 
the Southern California. 
Los Angeles is a world center of business, 
•
international trade, entertainment, culture, media, 
fashion, science, sports, technology and education. 
• L.A it was considered the richest and one of the 
most influential city in the world. It is also called 
„ the Entertainment Capital of the World” because 
of the fact that Hollywood is situated there. 
 FLORIDA
• Florida is located at the south­eastern part of the United 
States, on a peninsula, surrounded by the waters of the Gulf 
of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean. 
• Before Florida became part of the United States it was a 
Spanish colony. In 1819, the United States bought Florida 
from Spain. 
• Florida houses one of the world’s most popular 
entertainment center called Disney World. It is a perfect 
place for whole families with children to spend their free 
time.
 NATURAL WONDERS
YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK
National Park is situated in the United States,
on the territory of states such as Wyoming,
Montana and Idaho. Yellowstone National Park
is the oldest national park in the world. In the
park there are famous geysers, volcanoes and
waterfalls. Since 1978 Yellowstone Park has
been on the UNESCO World Heritage List .

Grand Canyon National Park is located in   
Coconino and Mohave in the northern part of 
the Arizona state in the United States. It was 
created in 1919. It is one of the oldest national 
parks in the United States. Its total area is 4 
926.66 square kilometers.
