PROJECT DESCRIPTION

• quantitatively and
qualitatively identify
solid waste.

• to determine what
type and in what
amount of solid
waste is produced.

• because there is
evidence of poor
management of
solid waste in the
sector
OBJECTIVES
General objective
• To determine the composition
and physical properties of urban
solid waste

Specific objectives
•To identify the study areas,
determining the specific samples to
work.
•To determine the level of participation
in the project by the community.
•To characterize the sample of solid
waste in the 6 sectors.
•To formulate the alternatives for the
adequate management
METHODOLOGY
PHASE 1
• Determine the total number of samples to analyze using a
statistical formula.
PHASE 2

• Conduct an approach with the selected users to socialize and

guarantee participation in the project.
PHASE 3

• Determine the production per

capita, humidity, density and
specific weight of solid waste.

PHASE 4

• Present the results and

alternatives of solid waste
management to the community
and to the aqueduct company.
