• A Group of barons concerned Jhon and forced him to sign the carta.
• It listed feudal rights including:
• legal rights of townnspeople and the Church, arbitrary arrest except legal judgement
of his peers, not to raise new taxes without consulting (American Colonists).
TWO MAIN IDEAS

Nobles had certain rights and it would be extended to all English.


The monarch must obey the law.
