 Water Access
• Effective community selection is
one of the first steps that is critical
for the successful implementation
and sustainability of the projects.
• Community mobilization will be a
collaborative effort between local
community leaders, churches,
government entities, and schools
to ensure all stakeholders can
contribute to the success and
sustainability of the program.
• The implemented water services
must be safe, reliable, accessible,
affordable, and available to
everyone.
• After construction, water quality
testing will be performed and the
results will be shared with
community leaders. The testing will
include tests for E.coli, PH,
Turbidity, TDS, nitrate/nitrites and
hardness, plus any other required
tests by the government.
Sanitation and Hygiene
• the project will use participatory
activities and tools to promote
the practice of improved
sanitation and hygiene habits
among communities, churches
and schools in order to help
them to adopt healthy
behaviors.
Gospel proclamation and Church
mobilization

• Gospel Proclamation will always be emphasized in each LW Trip when

water wells are being finished as a way to show the love of God for
communities.

• This activity will be carried out with words from the pastors and
leaders from the community, providing at the same time bibles for
people to have God´s word in their hands.

Background

LW Guatemala has been facing changes since 2016-

17,when it became a affiliate.
During the 2019-2021 plan, Living Water Guatemala
will continue to improve on implementing the Quality
Standards and build a strong, cohesive team that
serves God by providing clean water, effective hygiene
and sanitation lessons and sharing the gospel with
rural communities in Guatemala.
