• Process that rearrange the constituent atoms of the reactants to create a
different substance as product.

• Symbolic representation of a chemical reaction in a form of symbols and
formula.

Represent the word “yield”, “result” or “produces” ; used to separate the


reactant and the product.

(s), (l), (g) & (aq) Physical state symbols ; Aqueous means it is in solution with water as the
solvent.
COEFFICIENT AND SUBSCRIPT
• Coefficient is number before of each the formula; number of molecules.

• Subscript is the number of atom in a molecule.
