Reasons of Conducting the Study:

Based on the aforementioned scenarios, the


researchers conducted a study on the
academic achievement affecting the
students career choice.specifically the
researchers wanted to further evidence and
support if academic achievements truly has
an effect towards the career choice of the
students.

Statement of the Problem
This study aims to describe the relationship between academic achievement and career
choice of the students in technical vocational livelihood track among the G10 students in
technical vocational livelihood track in the sisters of Mary School Girlstown Inc. in the
S.Y 2017 -2018

1.What is the profile of the respondents in terms of:

1.3 CAREER CHOICE OF THE G10 STUDENTS
2. What is the level of academic achievement of the
grade 10 students?
3. Is their a significant relationship between the level of academic
achievement and the career
choice of the G10 students?
4. Is there a significant relationship between the profile of the
respondents and their career choice
Research Methodology
This research integrate a quantitative design which emphasize
objective measurement and the statistical and thematical or

numerical analysis of data gathered. The research particularly
uses correlational study to identify the impact of academic
achievement and career choice of the grade 10 students of the
Sisters of Mary School- Girlstown Inc.

This study was conducted at the Sisters of Mary School-


Girlstown Inc. Located at the J.P Rizal St. Talisay City,
Cebu. A close compound occupying approximately 4.9
RESEARCH LOCALE hectares that includes three – storey building
composed of 25 dormitories and classrooms, 2
workshops,1senior high building and 2 sky gym.

RESEARCH Out of 521 students,230 grade10 students are taken


as the respondents for the quantitative phase.
RESPONDENTS
RESEARCH PART 1: Contains the profile of the respondents
such as age, locality, and their career choice.
INSTRUMENT PART 2: contains the factor affecting the academic
achievement and career choice of the chosen
grade10 students.
