6. Coal System

 It is used in furnace, when bagasse quantity is totally exhausted. This coal is


directly purchased from market. It is stored in the coal yard. It is used in
furnace 2.5% lower than bagasse quantity.

 Every boiler furnace there is a 4 coal bunkers, 4 coal screw feeders, 4 coal
sprayers.

 Generally 5-10mm size of coal is used. Larger than 10mm size crushed in
crusher & then feed in belt.These size coals are easily sprayed.
7. Bagasse System

 Largely bagasse is used in furnace. It is a cheap fuel & easily available


from sugar factory.

 From sugar factory bagasse is supply to bagasse conveyer-1


(BC-1). This bagasse is given to the bagasse SILO & remaining
bagasse is supply to bagasse yard. After BC-1 this bagasse convey
BC-2 belt. This belt also a provision of 4 adjustable doors & one
main door.This is provided to store the bagasse at different places.
8. Control Room

 Over all plant is operate pneumatically.

 In control room all pneumatic valves are operate by using


computer program .

 Honeywell company provides the operating software.

 For operating purpose one instrument compressor & one service


compressor.
9. SAFETY
SAFETY PRECAUTION INVOLVES :-

1) PROVIDE WORKER WITH SAFE WORK ENVIRONMENT


2) CONDUCT ROUTINE/REGULAR WORK PLACE INSPECTION
3) PROVIDE SAFETY TRAINING
4) PROVIDE PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
10. Conclusion

During these fifteen days of training I have seen a


cogeneration plant with extremely perfect
management. We gone through different departments
of co-generation power plant. such as water treatment
plant, boiler system, turbine system and others. This
training is beneficial for me in my future and it also
will help me to build my career and I am able to know
how the theoretical concept that we learnt is actually
applied.
