Policies, Rules, and Regulations
You must respect and follow all the rules and
regulations outlined in the next slides, failure
to do so may result in strict disciplinary action.

 Attendance Policy
• Your attendance will be marked as “absent” if
any of the following occurs:
• If you arrive after 15 minutes of the class start
time
• If you leave the classroom without permission
• If you do not submit a leave application
• It is student’s responsibility to manage their
own time and any clashes they may have
between classes and/or labs

• You are always welcome and encouraged to ask
questions during or after the class
• Your mobile phones must be on silent mode all
the time while in the classroom
• Do not leave the classroom without permission
• You cannot receive or make phone calls or send
text messages while in the classroom
• If you need to ask a question raise your hand and
wait for the teacher to respond
• Attend all classes attentively and actively

 Assessment Rules
• During a test, quiz, or exam, you are not allowed
to communicate with other students, or leave
your seat without the permission of the
invigilator
• If you need help, just raise your hand and wait for
the invigilator to approach you
• When you are told to stop writing, you must stop
• Do not ask for extra time during exams, it is not
allowed

Guidelines
• Read all questions carefully before answering
• While attempting a question having multiple
components, try keeping all the components together
• Respond according to the weight of the question
• Your answers must be relevant, specific, and to the
point
• Do not include irrelevant information in your answers
as it wastes both your and examiners precious time
• Your handwriting should be legible

 Assignment/Project Policy
• An extension will only be granted if there is a genuine
reason
• Late submission may result in a ZERO mark
• Incomplete and/or copied assignment/project will get
no marks
• You will be advised as whether to submit your
assignment online, in soft form, or in hard form
• Assignments submitted in other than specified formats
will not be accepted
• Assignments submitted by email/Facebook are not
accepted

• If your grade can be improved by ONE to
THREE marks, you will be automatically
granted these marks
• Please do not ask to change your grade if
more than THREE marks are required
• Sessional marks will be awarded on the basis
of your actual performance and meeting all
the specified course requirements/criteria
