    Several things that must be considered in designing composite beams :

    • Loading
    • Span
    • Function of beam
    • Deck type
    When compos automatically calculates slab weight , it
    will be assumed as ‘LL’ during Constructruction stage

    RESTRAINED
    Available width is taken half of the
    distance between infill beam

    Ec = (4700 x (f'c)^1/2) x (r / 2300)^1.5


    = (4700 x (30)^1/2) x (2400 / 2300)^1.5
    = 27440 MPa

    Short term = Es/Ec


    = 200000 / 27440 = 7.29
    Long term = 2.5 x 7.29 = 18.23
