this farm set. I looked to create a skewed fence to sit within the scene; to do this I used a polygon cube and distorted each vertex to create the uneven characterised fence. From there I then bevelled the fence planks and looked to soften the corners so that they still held a sharpness to them that a wooden edge plank would have. Moving forward I then started to model the ground plane, to do this I used polygon primitives to form and flat plane. With this added edge loops to the structure so that the model wont collapse later, I then duplicated the plane and set it aside; I then focused my attention on creating that curve between the grass and dirt/sand area through distorting the vertices to follow the curved motion. From there I then extruded the curved edge down so that further dimension can be added when it comes to altering the grass plane, I also bevelled this edge so that it became softer and more organic. At this stage I then also altered the copy of the ground plane to follow the motion of the dividing curve I then used the move tool to modify the ground planes edges so that it became more natural and organic to be a landscape; to do this I used the soft select function in the move tool, tool settings by increasing the falloff radius to create an uneven plane. Here I also rearranged the bevelled grass plane vertices so add another form and alsodepth and dimension to the ground plane I then laid out the UV’s for the plane to do this, I projected the model through the ground plane and then looked to unfold the extruded edge on the grass plane section. To do this I used the ‘unfold along’ function to reveal the hidden ledge. I then separated the two planes so that there was a bleed section between the grass and the sand/dirt sections ready for when the textures are applied..
