• What Is RESEARCH?
• It is the systematic
investigation into and study
of materials and sources in
order to establish facts
and reach new conclusions.
Importance
• The research is important for
the students because it helps
them to have a detailed analysis
of everything. When you have
proper in-depth analysis on any
topic, the result comes out to be
fruitful and also the knowledge is
enhanced.
What is Descriptive
Research?
• Descriptive research is defined as
a research method that describes
the characteristics of the population
or phenomenon that is being studied.
This methodology focuses more on
the “what” of the research subject
rather than the “why” of
the research subject.
• Sampling methods are used
to select a sample from within
a general population. Proper
sampling methods are
important for eliminating bias
in the selection process. They
can also allow for the
reduction of cost or effort in
gathering samples.
• Random sampling is a way of
selecting a sample of
observations from a
population in order to make
inferences about the
population.
• Respondents are those
persons who have been invited
to participate in a
particular study and have
actually taken part in
the study. .
• A survey questionnaire is a
set of questions used in
a survey.
• The survey questionnaire is a
type of data gathering
method that is utilized to
collect, analyze and interpret
the different views of a
group of people from a
particular population.

1.Identify the problem to study.
2. Locate resources to help
address the problem.
3. Identify information you will
need.
4.Analyze the data.
5. Develop action plan.
