Do opposite culture
will affect
someone’s love?
The French are often idolized as the culture
of love. The French language is called
the language of love. Couples holding
hands are found in all corners in Paris.
The concept of "like" and "love" in Japanese may be a
little difficult for you to gauge because the word "suki"
could mean both/either "like" or "love."
Although we have a word for "to love" or "I love you"
aishiteru 愛しているあいしてる, we barely use it.
Granted, if you throw enough beer into the stomachs
of two dudes who have been friends since
childhood, you'll inevitably hear the "I love you man!"
"No way, I love you!" argument. But, aishiteru is just
the equivalent of the words we reserve for those truly
special in our lives. This is when the words aren't just
said, but felt as well.
There are not many sites or people that
openly discuss relational matters publicly
within the Arab community weather it
being in the United States or in Middle East.
Communicating about sexuality is taboo as
religion and culture strictly discourages
dating prior to marriage. There are no
outlets for Middle Eastern individuals to get
educated on love and more specifically sex
except for what is portrayed in love songs.
The expectations in Hispanic culture appear outdated
in the modern dating world. The more traditional
Latin relationships are based on the young man
leaving home to find his way and the young women
staying with her family until she moves into her new
husband's home. When the family immigrated will
greatly affect the strength of the ties to this heritage
and dating traditions. The more generations away
from the family's emergence into the New World
culture, the smaller the differences between Hispanic
and other races. Many modern Latinos have
become mostly Americanized, but the typical
contemporary Hispanic doesn't want to completely
lose the connections to his or her culture.
