Trade fairs, exhibitions and conventions both at International and national levels have become a useful business tool to overcome trade

barriers and enable Industries and trade organizations expand their business. The Indian market is over tempting and trade fairs are the

best events to propagate their business.

INTRODUCTION

 A building designed to hold a convention, where individuals and/or groups gather to promote and share views on some common

interests, is convention centre. Convention centres are used for holding conferences and exhibitions.

 Exhibition hall is the large area hall to display pictures, sculptures, or other objects of interest that people notice or admire.

AIM

To develop a world class ‘Exhibition and Convention Centre’ providing a permanent set up for exhibitions, conferences, conventions and

other business activities in Cochin.

OBJECTIVE

- To provide facilities with International standards and quality for public gatherings/ congregations, meetings, incentives, conventions

and exhibitions (MICE), industrial promotions, art and crafts, trade fairs, conferences, etc..

- To design a sustainable Exhibition cum Convention Centre.

- Mini conference hall.
- Food court.

PROJECT LIMITATION
The project proposal consists of a 5- star hotel within the available site which is not considered for thesis project due to the limited time
period available and to provide more focus to the scopes for better outputs.
