NORMAL OPERATION

1. PERFORM DAILY ROUTINE

- MAINTAIN proper housekeeping.


- PARTICIPATE in Tool Box/Coordination Meeting to discuss the task and updates of current plant
status.
- RECORD all events in the Operators Log sheet and Real Time Dispatch (Hourly Load Log sheet)
- COORDINATE with Traders and NGCP System Operators to meet the target dispatch on time.
- MONITOR system parameters to ensure efficient unit operation.
- ADJUST Load (MVAR or MW) as per NGCP requirement.
- PERFORM Soot blowing to maximize efficiency and protect the equipment.
- PERFORM walk down inspection.
- PERFORM shift turn over to inform incoming operator about plant status, on-going activities, etc.

2. PERFORM PERIODIC TESTING


- COORDINATE with Plant Operator to perform weekly test on Emergency Diesel Generator as
assurance for proper operation.
- PERFORM freedom test on Control Valves as per procedure to avoid seizing of Governor Valves
during normal operation.

3. APPROVE/CANCEL PERMIT TO WORK SYSTEM

- APPROVE work permit with Shift Supervisor’s consent


- CANCEL work permit during violation in coordination with Shift Supervisor or Safety Officer.

4. PERFORM BOILER BLOWDOWN

- COORDINATE with Shift Chemist to know when will blowdown takes place and its duration
(intermittent blowdown).

5. PERFORM LOCK OUT TAG OUT PROCEDURE

- COORDINATE with Plant Operators to ensure LOTO has been conducted in specific equipment.

6. PERFORM PERIODIC EQUIPMENT SHIFTING AS PER STANDARD

- PERFORM pump Change over


- PERFORM Mill Change over
- PERFORM Heat Exchanger change over
- PERFORM Mill Seal Air fan Change over
SHUTDOWN
1. COMMUNICATE with System Operator and Traders for Scheduled and
Emergency Shutdown.

2. PARTICIPATE pre-briefing of the personnel regarding safety and work


scope.

3. PERFORM Shutdown Procedure in accordance with Operating


Procedures & Instructions (OPI)
