Low Carbon
• Mengandung 0,1%-0,3% Carbon.
• Aplikasi: baja-baja plat, paku-paku keling

Medium Carbon
• Mengandung 0,4%-0,6%.
• Aplikasi : komponen mesin, roda kereta api, roda gigi,
poros engkol

High Carbon
• Mengandung 0,6%-1,5%.
• Aplikasi : baja perkakas, cetakan, kawat berkekuatan
tinggi
 High Alloy

Stainless steel
Komposisi: karbon <1,5%,chromium
12%,nickel, molybdenum.
Austenistic, martenistic, ferritic
Aplikasi:perlengkapan rumah tangga

Tool steel
Komposisi karbon 0,5% - 1,5%
Aplikasi: untuk membentuk material
lain.

Austenistic stainless steel (chromium nickel iron alloy)

• Composition: 16-26% Chromium, 6-22% Nickel, Low Carbon
Content
• Application: Industrial Equipment

Martensitic stainless steel (Chromium iron alloy)

• Composition: 10,5-17% Chromium, 0,10-1,2% Carbon
• Application: pisau

Ferritic stainless steel (Chromium iron alloy)

• Composition: 17-27% Chromium, low Carbon content
• Application: peralatan masak
 Cast Iron

Gray Iron
• Composition: 2,5-4,0 % Carbon, 1-3% Si,
0,2-1 % Mn, 0,02-0,25 % S, 0,02-1% P
• Application: Engines, industri otomotif

Ductile Iron
• Composition: 3,0-4,0 % Carbon, 1,8-2,8% Si,
0,1-1 % Mn, 0,01-0,03% S, 0,01-0,1% P
• Application: Pipa, roda, pump housings
 Cast Iron

White Iron
• Composition: 1,8-3,6% Carbon, 0,5-1,9% Si,
0,25-0,8% Mn, 0,06-0,2 % S, 0,06-0,2% P
• Application: cement mixers

Malleable Iron
• Composition: 2-2,9 % Carbon, 0,9-1,9%
Si, 0,15-1,2% Mn, 0,02-0,2% S, 0,02-
0,2% P
• Application: Rel kereta api
