The story follows a young mother who is left to raise
two half-human and half-wolf children, Ame and
Yuki, after their werewolf father dies.
In Hosada’s interview, he mentioned his admiration
toward new mothers as one of the driving factors in
making the film.
This project upholds the Japan’s hand-drawn
tradition, perfectly suited to the kids’ in between
states, as pointy ears and tringle noses emerge on
their Bambi-eyed faces.
The movie main focus is on the hardship that the
family has to go through. Life choices of the
children.

SUMMARY
The story follows a young mother who is left to raise
two half-human and half-wolf children, Ame and
Yuki, after their werewolf father dies. Hana has to
face the hardships of bringing up her two children,
looking on as with the passage of time they choose
their own paths in life and decide whether they
want to live as humans or wolves.
This movie is entirely about the enduring and
triumphant nature of maternal love.
