Why BSVI ?
Bharat stage norms ?
Introduced in the year 2000, the Bharat stage norms are emission control standards put in place by the government to
keep a check on air pollution. Based on the European regulations (Euro norms), these standards set specifications/limits
for the release of air pollutants from equipment using internal combustion engines, including vehicles. Typically, the
higher the stage, the more stringent the norms.
Bharat Stage Norms. Bharat stage (BS) emission standards are emission standards instituted by Central Government to
regulate the output of air pollutants from internal combustion engine equipment, including motor vehicles. ...
These standards are based on European regulations were first introduced in 2000.
Bharat Stage standards up to 2020
BS-VI Norms:
•Particulate matter emission in BS-V and BS-VI
is same for diesel Vehicles though it is 80% less
than BS IV.

BS VI Technology
Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC)- Diesel particulate filter (DPF)- Selective catalytic Reduction (SCR) –It produces Ammonia Slip catalyst ( ASC)-
To increase the oxidation of exhaust It acts as a filter & collects nitrogen & Water in steam form. Un-diffused ammonia particles
gases, & to support the performance of Particulates Matter (C , Catalyst -Urea ( NH3) are regenerated at high temp to
SCR catalysts and diesel particulate Phosphates ,Sulphates) in the achieve maximum efficiency of
filters which is having sulphur content. form of incombustible Fuel the system
Material – Ceramic with precious particles.
metals with honey comb.
Catalyst (Good Oxidizing agent)- Pt, Rh
Note - We reduce the major %age value of PM & Nox as per the regulations with Low sulphur
& Pd. content based Diesel & Engine Oil as per the government parameter
