SRC thought to provides a suitable environment for collaborative work Religious and Moral Education Teacher used SRC as a medium to introduce ICT skills, particularly using the Internet Teacher asked students to develop closed relationship with librarian so that they can guide information handling for successful research outcomes. 01 Science WINTER Teacher expecting SRC to teach student for information handling Template and guide students on ICT skills especially for presentation Social subjects Internet and ICT provides valuable means for teacher to help students find more sophisticated historical investigation about subject e.g. history SRC cater the requirements for current information from the Internet to support modern studies Art and Technical Teacher used SRC for ad hoc sourcing of images and background information besides sourcing of artifacts to draw Mathematics SRC helped teachers for effective math teaching by providing suitable teaching aided material e.g. computer program and application 02 Music and Drama The availability of CD-ROM collection and AVA helps teachers a lot in term of music support and vide display Guidance SRC helps to develop personal attitude of students, therefore teacher used SRC to focus all concentration on their future career information. 2.3.1 SRC Learning Impacts Perceived by Teachers 03 • The acquisition of information to complete a subject specific task • The teachers thought skills development was a high priority for pupils using the SRC covering range of library, information, ICT and reading skills. • Using the SRC helps to motivate pupils to produce a piece of work especially using the ICT • SRC helps to motivate and encourage independent learning • Teachers found that SRC enabling maximum use of expensive or limited resources across subject areas • SRC also contribute to social development and interpersonal skills • Teachers found that SRC provides equal opportunities in terms of computer equipment, book resources • Teachers also found that SRC enriching school life. 2.4 MINISTRY 04 • Supporting the process of teaching and learning is the most essential parts when discussing about the importance of SRC • SRC helps a lots in developing the process of teaching and learning in Malaysia • SRC become the ambassador of the Ministry of Education in order to monitor, guide and help the students and teachers so that they can have a high quality of teaching and learning system. • By the existence of 9,922 schools all over Malaysia, SRC hopes to fulfill the requirements of the Ministry of Education and serve as the main agent whereas teachers and students can fully utilized all the resources provided to support their teaching and learning • SRC also importance in helping the Ministry of Education in order to motivate teachers and students to reach their highest ability and strive their best in developing the quality of educational system in our country.
