PSALM 68: 19-27

• Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who

daily bears our burdens. (NIV)

• Blessed be the Lord, to God our Savior, who

daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of
our salvation. Selah (KJV)

• Blessed is the Lord, who daily bears us up;

God is our salvation. (ESV)
TO BEAR VS TO LOAD
• The Hebrew verb ‘amac’ can either mean:  to
bear a load or to load onto.

• The word rendered "loadeth" means to take

up; to lift, as a stone (Zechariah 12:3)
• To bear, to carry (Isaiah 46:3)
• To load means "to take up and place upon a
beast of burden" (Genesis 44:13)
CAUSES OF BURDENS
1. Others – (Luke 11:46) , envy (Joseph)
2. Ourselves – disobedience, rebellion, sin,
unbelief, lack of love, etc.
3. God – Paul (2Cor. 12: 7-9)
2 CORINTHIANS 12:7–9 (ESV)
7 So to keep me from becoming conceited because of
the surpassing greatness of the revelations, a thorn
was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to
harass me, to keep me from becoming conceited.
8 Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this,
that it should leave me.
9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you,
for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my
weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest
upon me.
HOW DOES GOD ANSWER
1. By taking things away
2. By adding things to us

With regard to God’s answers to prayer,

expect the unexpected. Most of the greatest
gifts and deepest joys that God gives us come
wrapped in painful packages.
HOW CAN BURDEN BECOME A
BENEFIT

If God lays or allows burden on us,

REMEMBER to/that:
1. Live a day at a time. (Mathew 6:11)
2. Cast your burden on the Lord. (Psalm 55:22)
3. God will enable us to bear it.
4. God will give us wisdom and strength.
5. God will deliver us from it.
MATTHEW 11: 28-30
• Come to me, all who labor and are heavy
laden, and I will give you rest. Take my
yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I
am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will
find rest for your souls. For my yoke is
easy, and my burden is light.”
CONCLUSION
• God knows how much we can bear, and
His grace is sufficient for each day.
• God can turn our burdens into benefits.
• God is our constant a helper, and daily we
have occasion to praise and bless Him.
