English Week 2020 will host a poem recitation competition open to students from Years 4 to 6. Participants must recite from memory an authentic or adapted poem, stating the title and author, without notes or props. Performances will be judged on presence, voice, language skills, and overall performance.

1. Open to all Year 4 to Year 6 pupils. 2. Poem recited can be authentic or adapted. 3. Participants are not allowed to refer to any notes or printed materials during the presentation. 4. Participants must start the recitations by mentioning the title and the writer of the poem. 5. There should be no inclusion of singing, music, props or artificial sound effects. 6. Marks will be given based on physical presence, voice and articulation, language proficiency and overall performance.
